What's Happening at Journey Baptist Church?

All is good!
The men had their first men's breakfast in our new student center/fellowship hall. They had 11 in attendance. They had some great food, and great fellowship that will always be memorable.

The food smells were carried down the street. It was aromarific!

The men's accountability ministry was introduced.  LifeLines is about Scripture reading, journaling, praying and meeting with one another.

We all look forward to exciting years ahead as we pick up momentum in this great service to our men.

The men's breakfast had all the makings of a great, flavorfull, gut filling great breakfast! Hmmm! Man Food!

A big thank you goes to Eddie Brazell who helped bring it all together with his cooking skills.

New Members

Our very first members from the community came forward to join the new church on Sunday.  We're delighted to have Billy and Dee Montgomery join this new body of believers.  We look forward to loving this family and to building a wonderful relationship with them.

Door to Door Visitation

Most people cringe at thinking about going cold turkey door knocking.  However, we at Journey simply follow our Lord's example of walking among the crowds.  Even Scripture reveals that we are  to go to the "highways and hedges to compel them to come to the house of the Lord".  It has been medicine to this pastor's soul.

So many have allowed us to pray for them.  Some have given us money to support the new church plant.  Other's have actually visited the church.  Still others just wish to talk about today's current affairs with the church.

I'm not exactly sure of the count, but I believe we're averaging approximately 30-35 visits per day.  We usually go out three or four days a week.

Until next time

Pastor Hector Rodriguez
